From the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office:

On December 17, 2025 at 11:18 am, Easton High School staff and the assigned School Resource Officer were alerted to a physical altercation in the main hallway. The altercation began when two female students began fighting, joined by a third female shortly after the original fight began.

Numerous other students in the hallway at the time joined in the altercation, with some students attempting to help school staff separate the females, leading to more chaos. School staff and the SRO were able to get the original parties separated, with one student escorted to the main office while the other two students remained in the hallway with security and the SRO. The two female students in the hallway ran from staff and the SRO, entering the main office in an attempt to assault the third student a second time.

Additional deputies from the Sheriff’s Office responded to assist school staff with maintaining order and preventing any further disturbances within the school. All three juveniles were referred to the Department of Juvenile Services for charges and were released to their guardians.

Additional Information: Talbot County Public Schools are closed for the holidays until January 5th, 2026
