Please follow us on Gab, Minds, Telegram, Rumble, Truth Social, Gettr, Twitter It seems to be happening more and more across this country and, sadly, across the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Hotly contested elections for local offices are bringing out the worst in some of us, even those who claim to be “accepting” and “inclusive.” It’s no different in Easton, Maryland, as one candidate, Frank Gunsallus, is finding out firsthand. Gunsallus, who is running for re-election to the post of President of the Easton Town Council, has had a firm hand in cleaning up some of the corruption that existed in the small town. He has also…
Educators and Public Officials are REALLY upset! But not why you might think. They aren’t upset because Maryland students aren’t learning or their test scores are down. In Baltimore City, they aren’t even embarrassed that 40% of their high schools had ZERO students test proficient in math. No, they are not upset about that. They are upset that someone spoke the truth about that. From FOX News: President Trump: ‘40% of students in Baltimore can’t do basic math’ I’m sure that having President Trump say it stung even more. After all, the teachers’ unions viscerally hate Trump and have trained…
Delmarva Parent Teacher Coalition The Civil Rights Acts are federal laws prohibiting discrimination. Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 is a federal law in the United States that prohibits discrimination based on race, color, or national origin in programs or activities that receive federal financial assistance. It’s a key piece of legislation aimed at ensuring equal access and treatment in areas like education, healthcare, transportation, and other federally funded services. Title VI states that “No person in the United States shall, on the ground of race, color, or national origin, be excluded from participation in, be denied…
UNION PRESIDENTS GO OFF THE RAILS AT LOSS OF Department of Education Money Pot It’s become fairly common these days that the American Federation of Teachers head, Randi Weingarten, can be found somewhere going off in an epic rant. These epic rants are filled with rage that seem to indicate some kind of supernatural possession or mental health problem: Where the heck was she looking? Was she searching for drones overhead? If you can take it, here is more of Randi: https://twitter.com/DeAngelisCorey/status/1815456591682187465 Not to be outdone, Becky Pringle, President of the National Education Association, also has her moments: Sky News…
Alsobrooks and Van Hollen Show True Allegiance: And It’s Not To Female Athletes One would think it would be a “no-brainer” for the people of this country to protect women against men in their private spaces and sports. After all, women’s rights have come so far in this country. And yet, the Democrat Senators and Congressmen in D.C. have shown themselves to be misogynists by blocking a law that would keep biological men out of girls’ and women’s spaces and sports. ALL of the Democrats in the Senate have voted against women’s rights. Yes, that is what I said. The…
One of the smallest and poorest counties in the State of Maryland was among the first to stand up to the State regarding DEI and parental rights to opt their children out of gender identity and sexual orientation lessons in the state’s Health and Sex Education Curriculum. The Maryland House of Delegates voted to approve HB 161 which removes the parental opt out for units on those topics that are taught as early as in Kindergarten. After a three-hour meeting September 18, the Somerset County Board of Education voted to oppose that bill which still has to be passed by…
Audit Indicates Funds Mis-spent The Blueprint for Maryland’s Future is an illusion. It’s an illusion created and being mandated by delusional politicians and “education” experts. The Blueprint education reform, which is projected to cost the State of Maryland an additional 3.9 billion dollars in education spending at both the State and Local level, is a payoff to the Teachers’ Union, certain other professional political lobbying groups (medical, pharmaceutical, and dental), and those who want to obliterate local control of school systems currently exerted by elected and accountable school boards. The original intent of the Thornton/Kirwan Legislation was to boost student…
Delegate Acts To Remove Parental Opt Out From Portions Of State’s Heath and Sex Education Curriculum Dealing with Gender Ideology and Sexual Orientation In Grades As Low As Kindergarten If you ask anyone in Maryland about State Delegate Vanessa Atterbeary (D), you will get very interesting responses. You’ll hear “powerful” and “determined.” But, you will also hear the words “hypocrite,” “nasty,” and “liar”. These descriptions come from those who have had to work with her or testify in front of her in the Maryland House of Delegates. Atterbeary’s history shows that she is clearly a person who sees power as…
When Did Black History Month Celebrations Start Focusing on Black Victimhood Instead Of Accomplishment? Last week, we did a story on the Howard County Public Schools adopting the Black Lives Matters curriculum for the first week of Black History Month. Here is a link to that story: What Are Howard County Public Schools Teaching During Black History Month? – The Easton Gazette As we said in that article, just when you thought the school system would be teaching about famous Blacks like Harriet Tubman, Thurgood Marshall, Martin Luther King Jr., etc., a look inside the curriculum provided to teachers…
