The November 12th release by the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability of approximately 20,000 pages of subpoenaed files from the Jeffrey Epstein investigation, has caused a stir in leftist circles because of several mentions of President Trump.

There is no smoking gun of Trump criminal activity but that has not stopped the political left from drawing criminal implications where none exist.

However, the real lede in the House Epstein file release is the appearance of Trump advisor Steve Bannon, who figures prominently in the files, and is mentioned well over 1,000 times.

Again, there is no implication of criminal activity by Bannon, but there are vivid examples of the close business and political relationship Bannon enjoyed with the now-deceased Epstein.

For example, here is an example of Bannon discussing with Epstein ‘getting rid’ of Fed Chair Jerome Powell and Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin in the first Trump term.

In a bizarre email, Epstein sends Bannon a ‘list’…the meaning, or purpose of the list is not clear.

Below Bannon appears to discuss with Epstein the fall of the government of Slovakia.

Below Bannon discusses attacks on Epstein in the press and with possible investigations into Epstein, and ‘the mission’, which is likely political goals in Europe.

Epstein obviously held Bannon in high regard for his political skills. In the email below, Epstein praises Bannon’s work to get President Trump elected.

Below Epstein and Bannon discuss driving political change in Europe.

Perhaps the most interesting is this exchange between Bannon and Epstein during Trump’s state visit to the UK.

It is worth noting all of these exchanges occur prior to Epstein being arrested for the second time in July of 2019. It is unclear from these emails if Bannon was aware of Epstein’s alleged intelligence ties in the U.S. and Israel, or any blackmail network.

The Federal government announced that Epstein committed suicide in prison in August of that year.

Bannon has received criticism for not releasing approximately 15 hours of film shot with Epstein prior to his arrest. Bannon is scheduled to release a documentary from the footage in 2026.
