Elon Musk. Candace Owens. Tucker Carlson. Megyn Kelly. And now, Marjorie Taylor Greene.
These are all people who were staunch Conservatives holding hands and singing “kumbaya” just a few short months ago as we mourned the death of Charlie Kirk. Now, they have suddenly either turned on each other, on President Trump, or both. It didn’t take long. Why?
First, my opinion is that most of this is “much ado about nothing” during the prelude to a mid-term election. We all know that election years are different and that people seemingly lose their rational minds with the prospect of campaigns and voting. Everyone is scrambling to be “the person” who gets the most notice, the most clicks, etc. In other words, there are plenty of grifters out there begging for attention and therefore more money.
It doesn’t help that Democrats are willing to pull out all the stops (lying, spreading false rumors, and shutting down government, redistricting) to get advantages in the upcoming election.
In this atmosphere and with the lingering effects of Kirk’s assassination, opportunists at every level are jumping in to see how they can fill the void Kirk left, via influence and fundraising. There are billions of dollars to be had by the people who can become the “next big thing” like Charlie was. The sad truth is that there is no one like Charlie and we shouldn’t be trying to replicate him with cheap Dollar Store imitations.
But. we’ve seen all the scrambling before. And there are plenty dime store versions out there trying to get an edge.
This is a new show with different characters.
Remember that Elon Musk was a huge supporter of Trump’s during the campaign and for the first few months of the administration while Elon and his crew managed DOGE. He was so tied to Trump that those with Trump derangement system vandalized Tesla dealerships and privately owned cars just because it’s his company. They threatened Elon’s life. Trump actually bought Tesla’s to show support.
And, then, the “partnership” died. Suddenly. One day they were laughing together in the Oval Office with Elon’s son X and almost the very next day Elon was making accusations against Trump, accusations he walked back after the tantrum was over. Trump publicly said he was getting rid of the Tesla cars. Now, based on his latest interview, Musk is back on Trump’s side, and they are friendly again.
Musk is not one who needs to grift to get likes, subscribers, and money.
Trump’s relationships with the others are a bit more convoluted. Candace Owens loved Trump until she didn’t get a position in his first administration. Then she didn’t get a position in his second administration. In early 2025, she jumped from being a rationale public commentator to a lunatic who hated almost everything Trump did because he demanded that Harvard not encourage and promote antisemitic speech and protests on campus which endangered Jewish students. Not only that, but she went off the rails with crazy conspiracy theories about who assassinated Kirk and why they did it. She even implied it might have been Erika Kirk or someone else in the Turning Point USA organization. Need we remind you of her antisemitism?
How about Megyn Kelly? There’s a twisted tale of hate, love, hate. Kelly did the first debate between Trump and Hillary Clinton. You may recall how she jumped from her role of moderator in the debate to opponent against Trump. Here’s how that exchange went:
Kelly: “You’ve called women you don’t like ‘fat pigs,’ ‘dogs,’ ‘slobs,’ and ‘disgusting animals.’ Does that sound to you like the temperament of a man we should elect as president?”
Trump: “What I say is what I say. And honestly, Megyn, if you don’t like it, I’m sorry, I’ve been very nice to you, although I could probably maybe not be, based on the way you have treated me. But I wouldn’t do that to you.”
From there, the feud grew, with Trump making repeated comments about Kelly. The most famous was, “You could see there was blood coming out of her eyes. Blood coming out of her wherever …”
Women lost their minds over that as the country was coming out of the “me too” movement. Kelly implied that Trump threatened her with that comment. Those looking for misogyny marked that as an example.
In 2016, Kelly shifted to supporting Trump. She talked about how she changed. Now, she’s back to throwing verbal bombs at him, saying that the Trump Administration committed a “self-inflicted wound” with the Epstein file debacle. (Not sure why since no release of information implicates Trump in any of Epstein’s crimes and activities.) Unfortunately, when she also implied that Epstein’s crimes were not that big a deal because the victims were 15, not 8, she lost a great deal of credibility. Mark Levin referenced her on his podcast as a “chameleon” and a “fame whore.”
One of Kelly’s good friends, as she consistently tells us, Tucker Carlson, seems to have gone off the rails the most. Not only did he give a platform to Nick Fuentes, who often defends NAZI’s, but he spent an entire podcast trashing Ben Shapiro and Mark Levin who are both Jewish. It seems that Tucker is trending toward rabid antisemitism.
Why is that? Many of us who listened to Carlson saw the not so gradual decline in the last couple of months. He couched it in giving everyone a voice on his platform. However, the softball interview he gave Fuentes was in stark contrast to the verbal lashing he gave Christian conservative Senator Ted Cruz. Was the “demonic attack” he once claimed he suffered successful? Has his move to Maine scrambled his brain? Who knows.
And then there’s Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene. I had the opportunity to be at an event with MTG last spring. First, she is much smaller than you might imagine. Second, when you are in a room with her, she wants all the attention and makes the point of making sure she gets it. Greene was a huge Trump supporter until she wasn’t, claiming that he no longer is AMERICA FIRST because he is allegedly helping Israel and yes, Ukraine. She’s also angry about the H1B visas and, of course, the mythical Epstein files. More on that issue later.
Trump has already paused military aid to Ukraine in March of this year. He has continued military aid to Israel. But, let’s face it, Israel has been a good ally of the United States. Much better than most countries.
Greene, who was rumored to be running for Governor of Georgia and/or Senate, says she is doing neither. Some say she is trying to carve out her own following separate from MAGA. She may be overestimating her own popularity.
Progressives (and some weak-kneed Republicans) will tell you that this is the MAGA movement “falling apart.” Or they will tell you it’s evidence that Trump is not a strong President. Democrats feel that way because their movement, of all the political movements in the U.S., is one of lockstep fidelity to the progressive, Marxist message. Look what happened to John Fetterman when he went against the extreme wing of the Democrat party and voted to reopen the government. The Democrat obsession with Epstein is also a deflection from the longest government shutdown in our history, one that they caused and kept alive. Let’s not forget they have had over four years to release those files if they implicated Trump. The fact that they didn’t should tell you what you need to know.
Democrats also hate independent thought. If you go off the reservation, they will lock you out, discredit you, and remove you from office.
Conservatives are much less likely to do that, although I feel as though lying about Trump or insinuating that he is not “America First” might get you this reaction from the President:
I am withdrawing my support and Endorsement of “Congresswoman” Marjorie Taylor Greene, of the Great State of Georgia. Over the past few weeks, despite my creating Record Achievements for our Country including, a Total and Complete Victory on the Shutdown, Closed Borders, Low Taxes, No Men in Women’s Sports or Transgender for Everyone, ending DEI, stopping Biden’s Record Setting Inflation, Biggest Regulation Cuts in History, stopping EIGHT WARS, rebuilding our Military, being RESPECTED by every Country in the World (as opposed to being the laughingstock that we were just 12 months ago!), having Trillions of Dollars (Record Setting!) INVESTED in the U.S.A., and having created the “HOTTEST” Country anywhere in the World from being a DEAD Country just 12 months ago (and so much more!), all I see “Wacky” Marjorie do is COMPLAIN, COMPLAIN, COMPLAIN! It seemed to all begin when I sent her a Poll stating that she should not run for Senator, or Governor, she was at 12%, and didn’t have a chance (unless, of course, she had my Endorsement — which she wasn’t about to get!). She has told many people that she is upset that I don’t return her phone calls anymore, but with 219 Congressmen/women, 53 U.S. Senators, 24 Cabinet Members, almost 200 Countries, and an otherwise normal life to lead, I can’t take a ranting Lunatic’s call every day. I understand that wonderful, Conservative people are thinking about primarying Marjorie in her District of Georgia, that they too are fed up with her and her antics and, if the right person runs, they will have my Complete and Unyielding Support. She has gone Far Left, even doing The View, with their Low IQ Republican hating Anchors. Thank you for your attention to this matter. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!
Here is Greene’s response:
President Trump just attacked me and lied about me. I haven’t called him at all, but I did send these text messages today. Apparently this is what sent him over the edge.
The Epstein files.
And of course he’s coming after me hard to make an example to scare all the other Republicans before next weeks vote to release the Epstein files.
It’s astonishing really how hard he’s fighting to stop the Epstein files from coming out that he actually goes to this level.
But really most Americans wish he would fight this hard to help the forgotten men and women of America who are fed up with foreign wars and foreign causes, are going broke trying to feed their families, and are losing hope of ever achieving the American dream.
That’s what I voted for.
I have supported President Trump with too much of my precious time, too much of my own money, and fought harder for him even when almost all other Republicans turned their back and denounced him.
But I don’t worship or serve Donald Trump.
My reaction? Trump doesn’t worship or serve you either, Marjorie.
Greene seems to have forgotten that Trump is trying to bring peace in war torn areas of the world so we don’t have to send our troops there. She also has forgotten who caused all those Americans to “go broke trying to feed their families.” It was the Democrats. I think she is overestimating her role when “all other Republicans turned their back and denounced him.” Yes, she supported him. But, so did many other Republicans. But, like Democrat Jasmine Crockett, MTG can’t stay out of the spotlight. She has to be the “prettiest” girl in the room.
As for the Epstein files, in 2024, Trump and JD Vance both publicly called for more Epstein files to be released before the election.
Trump formally asked for them to be released on July 19, 2025, when he asked a federal judge to release Epstein’s grand jury testimony. Trump emphasized that the release was in the public interest, given Epstein’s history of sex trafficking accusations.
The Department of Justice, led by Attorney General Pam Bondi, filed a motion in the Southern District of New York to unseal the testimony.
To be fair, he has also said that the Epstein Files have been a “distraction from his successes”. He’s right. The Democrat obsession with Epstein is also a deflection from the damage done by the longest government shutdown in our history, one that they caused and kept alive. Let’s not forget they have had over four years to release those files if they implicated Trump. The fact that they didn’t should tell you what you need to know.
As we have seen, every time the Democrats think they have something on Trump in the files, it becomes a huge nothing burger.
The files released so far do not accuse Trump of crimes or place him among Epstein’s alleged co-conspirators of friends. In fact, Epstein despised Trump. Here’s an interview with famous lawyer Alan Dershowitz in THE HILL:
Alan Dershowitz says Donald Trump, Pam Bondi not to blame for Epstein file chaos
Dershowitz states clearly that Trump is not implicated, nor are any current political figures. He also gives reasons why judges won’t release the files. But, I guess some people just can’t accept the fact that Trump can’t get everything he might want with a snap of his fingers. He isn’t a king.
So, while the Democrats try to make something out of nothing, Greene is out there stoking the fire. She’s also out there playing the victim saying she is afraid for her life because Trump said something mean about her. Please. She starts more nonsense than a middle school drama queen.
Which leads us to wonder, what happens next?
It’s hard to predict. It’s our hope that maybe some of these temper tantrum throwing two-year-olds will get over themselves and see how silly this all is. I also hope that they examine their own motivation for what they are doing. Money, influence, and “clicks” are not worth tearing this country apart.
As for Greene, she has a right to her opinions. However, I hope she grows up. She’s too old for tantrums.
As for us? We will remain strong. We support Trump when we agree with him. We don’t when we disagree with him. However, we won’t let shysters guide our actions or beliefs.
As it says in Psalm 120: 2 “Deliver my soul, O LORD, from lying lips; And from a deceitful tongue.”
