Wes Moore, the Governor of Maryland running for President, testified in front of Maryland’s General Assembly to defend his plan for the gerrymandering of election districts in Maryland on Wednesday, January 28th, 2026.

Moore developed the plan with a so-called “bi-partisan” committee last Fall claiming that he was trying to make things fair for voters of the state. Sadly, people see right through the ruse. Having all 8 Congressional seats handed over to Democrats isn’t fair when you have at least 40% of your residents who are registered Republican and 22% more who are registered as Unaffiliated/ Independents. There is no local data on how many of these Independents vote Republican, but nationally the split is 50/50 between Republicans and Democrats. So, even if only HALF of the Independents vote Republican, that means that Maryland is evenly split. Do the math.

This defies the stated need for redistricting. You won’t hear that. This video from Maryland State Delegate Kathy Szeliga explains how the hearing went on her Facebook page:

https://www.facebook.com/share/r/1AYojGRaP3

It’s interesting that Moore never spoke about redistricting until Texas redistricted in 2025. Then, suddenly, he poked his head up and started screaming about the issue. It was as if someone on his 2028 Presidential campaign encouraged him that this was a way to show how “tough” he is. Basically, virtue signaling of the worst kind because it hurts the people of Maryland who he is supposed to represent. We did a story on Moore’s gerrymandering dream on the Easton Gazette:

It’s not like Moore has been a paragon of truth. He can’t even seem to get facts about his life straight:

Did Wes Moore Lie About His Academic Career? – WCBM News-Talk Radio

He wrote a book that claims to be a biography but is fiction. He claimed a Bronze Star he didn’t get until an ally made sure to help him save face after Moore was elected Governor. And, as the article above alleges, he fudged his academic career. One FB commenter said this on Moore’s FB page regarding the Bronze Star:

Please post your bronze star citation Governor. Your constituents want to read it. In the interest of transparency and public trust, you need to provide the citation on your Maryland.gov site. Please also provide your retirement certificate from the US Army for public viewing. The Maryland veteran community has questions and as our Governor, you owe answers. Your fellow veterans are waiting…

Even worse, on a recent interview with Armstrong Williams, he claimed to be “a child of God,” something he has never alluded to or even mentioned before. We can’t claim to know what his religious beliefs are but for him to suddenly pull that out at the same time he wants to claim to be a victim of racism stinks to high heaven.

And now he wants to be Martin Luther King Jr. We don’t think so.

This is a man who had an expensive private school education, went to Oxford University and whose children attend an expensive private school. He ran a big non-profit from 2017-2012, the Robin Hood Foundation, where he made $690,000 a year, possibly closer to a million when perks and benefits are included. Here is a story about his history, employment and net worth:

Wes Moore’s net worth revealed

Executive Compensation at the Robin Hood Foundation (2021) | Paddock Post

To top it off, he claimed in his book to have grown up in Baltimore. He didn’t. He grew up in Prince George’s County. Almost everything he has claimed is a lie. Fake victimhood by a fake victim.

And now he wants to use the race card to promote redistricting; to disenfranchise a huge part of the State. It’s no coincidence that the district that is being gerrymandered is a majority Republican district which elects the ONLY Maryland Republican Congressman, Andy Harris.

Let’s not forget he actively campaigned against Winsome Sears, a black, female candidate for Governor of Virginia and supported a white woman. Sears would have been the first black female Governor in the United States IN HISTORY. Moore sabotaged that.

Seems hypocritical, doesn’t it? One Facebook commenter said it best:

This is not about giving Maryland a voice. This is about keeping republicans from interfering with the democratic party’s agenda.

If Moore is really interested in what citizens of Maryland thinks, he should check his FACEBOOK page to see what Maryland citizens think about his deception. Don’t hold your breath.

But, Wes, you should know. WE WILL NOT SIT QUIET EITHER.
