The Maryland Lottery announced Tuesday that a Silver Spring woman won $5 million on a lottery scratch-off ticket. The $50 scratch-off was part of the Maryland Lottery’s $5 million CASH game, which began on February 19th.
The winner will purchase their ticket at Great Plaza Liquor in District Heights, Prince George’s County, and the store will receive a $5,000 bonus for selling the top prize scratch-off. [Source of the Spring]
MoCo residents get free Lyft rides on St. Patrick’s Day
The Washington Regional Alcohol Program’s St. Patrick’s Day Sober Ride Program will be offering free Lyft rides to people in the area, including Montgomery County residents, this Sunday.
The free rides are part of an effort to prevent drunk driving, especially on holidays. From 12pm to midnight on Sunday, residents 21 and older can get free rides worth up to $15 on her Lyft app. To claim your free ride, enter the promo code available online starting at 11 a.m. Sunday.
