St. Patrick’s Day festivities continue this weekend with more green-themed events in Ocean City, Georgetown, and Milford. Wear your favorite green outfit and enjoy a few days in or near the coastal area.

Warmer temperatures are already starting to factor into daily forecasts and will continue to rise further in the coming days and weeks. This weekend is a great chance to enjoy the early spring weather while attending some of the area’s best annual events and gatherings.

I have some great things to share with you this week. Keep reading to find out about Oldfather Group’s top events happening on and near beaches in Delaware and Maryland over the long weekend of March 15-17.

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Ocean City St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival (March 16)

One of the region’s largest St. Patrick’s Day events will be held this Saturday, March 16th, in stunning Ocean City, Maryland.

The parade, sponsored by the Delmarva Irish American Club, begins at noon and runs from 59th Street to 45th Street.

The accompanying Irish Festival begins at 11 a.m. at the 45th Street Shopping Center and includes live music, dancing, and plenty of food and drinks.

More than 100 entries are expected for this year’s Ocean City parade. For more information, visit delmarvairish.org.

Cherville Easter Eggstravaganza (March 16-24)

The popular Shellville complex, located just off Route 1 in Rehoboth Beach, will come alive again for several days starting this Saturday, March 16th, and ending on Sunday, March 24th.

Plan your celebration at this family-friendly location near the beach. Planned events and activities include an Easter egg hunt, face painting, character meet-and-greets, children’s games, and more.

The Easter Bunny will also be on site for special appearances and photo opportunities.

St. Patrick’s Day Block Party (March 16th)

Georgetown’s Revelation Brewery will host a special holiday-themed event on Saturday, March 16th from noon to 4 p.m.

The day will feature several family-friendly events, including local food, craft sales, live music from “Cocktails at Three,” a St. Patrick’s Cathedral-themed photo booth, and face painting.

This event is co-sponsored by the City of Georgetown and the Greater Georgetown Chamber of Commerce.
