39 Year Old Woman And A Dog Killed In Attack
The Washington Beltway was brought to a standstill Sunday as an alleged road rage incident caused injuries to three people, and a woman and a dog as well as the suspect were killed.
Police were called to the scene on the Capitol Beltway Southbound near exit 53, Annandale.
When they arrived, the suspect approached a police officer with a knife. The suspect was shot and died from his injuries. The condition of all the other victims is unknown at this time.
The officer involved in the shooting is currently on administrative leave.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing, but authorities do not believe it was a terrorist act.
