On September 15, 2024, in West Palm Beach, Florida, the FBI confirmed that there was an apparent attempt to assassinate Donald Trump at his golf club, only two months after a previous assassination attempt. Fortunately, Trump was unharmed and safe.
The suspect has been identified as Ryan Wesley Routh.
During the incident, the U.S. Secret Service intervened when a man pointed an AK-style rifle towards the club while Trump was on the premises. The individual quickly dropped the weapon, escaped in a SUV, but was later apprehended in a nearby county. The authorities, who preferred to remain anonymous, provided this information to The Associated Press.
