The recent elections seem to be a pivotal moment that encourages a renewed focus on free speech. Therefore, we will return to our foundational principles, work on minimizing errors, streamlining our policies, and enhancing freedom of expression on our platforms.” This decision follows Zuckerberg’s meeting with President-elect Donald Trump at Mar-a-Lago at the end of November. Recently, Zuckerberg has made other shifts, including appointing Republican Joel Kaplan as the chief global affairs officer and bringing Ultimate Fighting Championship president Dana White onto META’s board of directors.
