LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. – Authorities have arrested two immigrants residing in the U.S. without documentation after they opened fire on a car during a dispute on the road in Loudoun County, Virginia.

The individuals arrested have been named as Jimmy Paredes Madrid, 29, and Aldo Betancourth Rivera, 34, both hailing from Sterling and living in the country without legal status.

On December 3, around 9:30 p.m., police were alerted to gunfire in the vicinity of East Maple Avenue and South Lincoln Avenue.

Following investigation, authorities found that the suspects fired at a car with people inside during a road rage episode. The car was damaged, but thankfully, neither the driver nor the passenger sustained injuries.

Betancourth Rivera faces charges as a principal in the 2nd degree for shooting into an occupied vehicle, which is classified as a class 4 felony.

Paredes Madrid is charged with discharging a firearm from a vehicle, shooting into an occupied vehicle, both also class 4 felonies, as well as for brandishing a firearm, which is considered a misdemeanor.

Both men are currently being detained without bail at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center.
