Law enforcement agencies in Wicomico County is coming together to address the issue of illegal dirt bike riding on public streets and in residential areas, as stated by the Salisbury Police Department.
The Salisbury Police are teaming up with the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office, Delmar Police Department, Fruitland Police Department, Maryland State Police, Pittsville Police Department, and the Wicomico County State’s Attorney to combat illegal dirt bike use.
The presence of dirt bikes on public roads has frustrated residents in Wicomico County, leading local law enforcement to issue repeated warnings. Authorities emphasize that this illegal activity creates significant hazards for pedestrians, other motorists, and the riders themselves.
Community members are encouraged to report any sightings of illegal dirt bike activities to help prevent accidents and maintain safety in their neighborhoods. In a recent post on social media, the Salisbury Police Department announced that a monetary reward would be provided for information leading to the identification of illegal dirt bike operations and off-road vehicle use.
